The Situation

Millions of people around the world listen to Audible. The company is a leading developer and provider of premium audio content and offers new ways to improve and enrich life every day. The offer on includes more than 500,000 audio books, podcasts and Audible Originals. Almost 4 billion hours of content are downloaded and listened to on a variety of supported devices every year.

What We Did

Audible partnered with userwerk as a brand marketer in order to provide special offers to their desired target group via userwerk’s retail partner network. During the Christmas Holiday , we presented a highly attractive bundle offer consisting of a 90-day free trial plus 3 free audio books. New customers could test the premium service for 3 months completely free of charge.

The Results

With this Christmas campaign in December 2021, Audible was able to surpass its strongest month so far by 270 %. In fact, 28.5 % of all new customers that userwerk generated for audible throughout the year were acquired in the Christmas campaign period alone. An impressive click-through rate of around 2 % was achieved and a large number of new customers were generated. Compared to the normal annual campaigns in the months of June to September 2021, the Christmas campaign performed 700 – 900 % better. This great success strengthens the further cooperation between Audible and userwerk and is a great example of how effective and easy Intelligent Checkout Marketing with userwerk can be.
